My painting is a playful dance with movement, energy and light. It’s a Jazz approach to painting. The structure is not a boundary, rather, a form to freely improvise over. It’s about listening to the piece, letting it breathe, and painting in a newly made-up language. There’s something magical that happens there, in between control and letting go. I am inspired by motion, emotion and music as much as what I am by what I see. I paint with Gauche and watercolors and had made a full time living off of my art for almost a decade. I ususally sell prints and stickers at markets and festivals. Currently in residency at the Nashville Farmers Market.
