PhotoVogue Resident: As an image-maker, I capture the many different forms young black people use to define ourselves. We are not a monolith or a token. I use self-portraiture often as a way to speak up for myself and others in my community. Taking much inspiration from my dreams, afro-futurism, and surrealism. By using dramatic elements of light, color, distortion, and fashion, I mesh the two worlds of fashion photography and visual activism.
