Amrithavarshini is a traditional Indian raga. In loss it offers hope that we’ll emerge into a new plane of aliveness. Roopa Mahadevan’s vocals layer with a sculptural work from Buckman’s Heavy Rag, an exploration of violence in the home & the intrinsic joy & strength found within the female experience. The visuals weave close detail with abstracted, kaleidoscopic footage examining the swings from chaos to focused introspection present in the stages of grief. 1/6 of Loss Tapes, an NFT Residency.
