Unseen No. 12. Floral Fine Art

Cardboard, acrylic, 24-carat gold leaf, varnish. 2021 “Unseen” was originally the watercolour series conceived after a study of illuminated manuscripts of the 17th century. I created 11 pieces in 2019-2020. This year, I decided to look back at those works and rethink them. I added an almost lost gold background as a reference to the destroyed and forgotten art objects of the past. The shape of the flower has become closer to naive folk painting. Even more vulnerable and elusive beauty.
