Circle Back

I often spend Friday nights up at the Met painting. Sometimes I work on an original; other times I study an old Master. "Circle Back" was created one night when I thinking of leaving but decided to circle back and do a study of one of Vincent's compositions. I did a nice reproduction - but then it transformed in this work - as I was seduced by color and memory.
