Dora Maar

What had Pablo done to her! Her face was distorted and discoloured from his treatment of her and he had even captured her coldsore and moved it around. A little cruel since it was he who had given her it! Based on Dora Maar by Picasso, Dora had a toxic relationship with Picasso and was mentally and physically abused by the artist. I have elected to use this in my description to highlight the fact that while an iconic piece, the backstory to it is one of violence and abuse by a misogynist narcissist.
