Osifarih (Angel of Contamination)

Osifarih harnesses the chaos of environmental contamination and creates new life-forms. Each Angel represents an ecological concept that permeates throughout and defines our world. Inspired by the variety and the cryptic descriptions of angels from the ancient world (such as Kalkydra or the Carrier Of The Sun’s Heat, Laylah angel of Night and Conception and Azariel known as Waters Of Earth among many others) this collection aims to generate renderings of contemporary ecological concepts in the form of abstract synthetic beings, made of light and digital genomes. The series is a collaboration between three artists.
