Red on Yellow Rising

“Red on Yellow” is actually a hand-sewn fleece ball featured in a series of original acrylic, oil, pastel, pen & ink, watercolor, markers, and mixed media, always-in-progress works. This series is inspired by a sewing activity I engaged my mom in, b4 she passed, who was impaired with dementia. We, she used a needle and thread to make a plethora of fleece balls from scraps I refused to just toss out. There are, indeed, some skills that always hold sway. And still, I #lovewhatido
