Waiting

The passage of time fascinates me. In particular, the transformation that occurs between life and death. Through this time-lapse of Francesca, which was sketched from life and overlaid with piano improvisation, I communicate the thought processes and struggles of artistic creation. At the same time, we experience a metaphorical lapse of time, through the quiet anticipation that a full-term pregnancy will transition into a new parent-child relationship. This is a limited edition 1/1 NFT in the inaugural New York Academy of Art NFT Collection (April 2022).
