Don't Touch My Soul  Medium: iPad Painting  Description: An iPad Painting of Solange. This piece was inspired by a trip to The Louvre in Paris in 2017. Thematically I wanted to showcase her as a female that can fend for herself and ward off negative energy. That's where the halo comes into play.  When I listen to "A Seat on The Table" I picture a woman knows how to uplift herself despite any adversity she may face. The song lyrics are from her hit song, Don't Touch My Hair. This painting has been exhibited at Artspace New Haven, Yale’s Afro American Cultural Center and Yale’s Schwarzman Center.
