A sea of masks (covid edition)

About the piece

I created this during the second state lockdown in Queensland, Australia. I spent days, like many did, locked in the house, wondering if we would ever live a 'normal' life again. For some reason, I kept my used masks in a bag. After weeks, I felt like I was drowning in this new version of the world, and from that this photo was born. Will it age well? Probably. Or, at least it will give you a way of explaining the pandemic to your grandkids.
