Prayer For Them

“Prayer for them” is a piece born out of the anxiety of being different and constantly having eyes watching them as they discover who they are. It is originally an acrylic piece that has been animated to give more depth to its intended meanings. The movement that occurs in the chest represents the tightness of chest that often comes with anxiety. In this collection, it represents a marker of time when our protagonists realizes that they are different and must leave to discover themselves. They have begun their heroes’ journey. And with prying eyes watching them, they take a brave step forward. My inspirations are the black form and how it coexists with the colours around them. A beautiful yet chaotic relationship, they are constantly vying for the viewers attention.
