About the piece

Conditioning is subliminal; there's the need to be conscious of it. Traditions, bias, habits, carved-in-stone ways of thinking, imposed or taught by association are a great hindrance to developing critical thinking. There’s a thin line between nurturing an individual to be the best at what they do and molding a person to fit one’s fears and ideas of living; at the family level or at the grand stage of society. Too grave a risk is clouding a mind with prejudices of all forms and drowning its own free thinking. Are we leading our lives with intent or are we pawns to cognitive bias from external voices?
