Chapter 3: Ghost in a shell

I created this piece to symbolize those in relationships that negatively impact their wellbeing. They are consumed by a toxic cycle. There are toxic cycles in friendships, the workplace, families, and romantic partnerships. The affected people feel powerless but would also be lost outside of the partnership. To be accepted, they adopt the standard mentality that has been established for them. They feel used and programmable. Afraid of potential relationships, they might eventually experience mental and emotional numbness. Some people are in toxic cycles and are completely unaware of it until they are beyond exhausted. I really wish this is discussed by more people! It may inspire others to speak out and fight for revival.
