Equity, The Secret Garden, Homage to Frances Hodgson Burnett and Bessie Potter Vonnoh

My Equity NFT embraces and is in homage to two well known female artists of note, the author, Frances Hodgson Burnett and her book The Secret Garden and the artist Bessie Potter Vonnoh who created the sculpture of the characters Mary and Dickon depicted in my hexagon shaped oil painting. My NFT focuses on the location in the Conservatory Garden in Central Park, NY near 105th street and fifth avenue. My desire to paint this location was fueled by my female predecessors, who as women in the arts, made their claims to fame at a time when rights for women were limited and very few. The beauty of this location is as inspirational as the artistic accomplishments of these female artists.
