Mriia (A Dream)

Antonov AN-225 Mriia was the largest cargo aircraft produced. It has been destroyed at the Hostomel airport few weeks after Russian invasion in Ukraine. Knowing the story my son asked to make apaper copy for himself beacause "a dream should not be destroyed" "War Times Family Album" is a project that documents my family life in Kyiv. Far away from a front line but still inside the largestr milityry cionflict in a newest history. It is not direct documentation of a war and al its horrors but rather a poem about one`s mixed feelings at a times when casual life and war are combined in a new "not normal normal". Images shoot on 4x5 inches large format camera then printed using gumdichromate technique and digitized afterwards. Ukrainian soil used as a printing pigment.
