Untitled ( from Collages 2018 - 2019)

This digitally scanned collage is from series of paper collages dedicated to one of my favourite cities - Samarkand. During the trip to this city, I thought about my Uzbekistan and about myself in terms of own cultural identity. This journey has become my guide in my work. Samarkand photographs are pasted on the pages of the diary with notes and thoughts and side by side with notes, questions, archival postcards and drawings.
