MI CULTURA MI CORAZON

"Mi Cultura, Mi Corazon" translation "My Culture, My Heart. It is a piece dedicated to the celebration of my culture and Hispanic Heritage. The young indigenous girl is looking up to her ancestors wrapped in floral patterns. The flowers represents renewal and the glowing heart represents her connection to the past and present. The love and pride for her hispanic heritage while honoring her indigenous roots. The feather crown with the glowing halo is a symbol for spiritual connection to her ancestors as well. I would like to share the beauty and pride from my culture in hopes of transforming how people see us ans most importantly how we see ourselves.
