My Only Sunshine

We project emotions on the sun, usually happiness, joy or anger depending on the anger. Most of the time, the sun is a positive symbol. Here, I was challenged to put the sun in a sad state, as it go so against our symbolic language. If the sun MUST shine, is it always joyful?
