Lovers

For the Milk and Honey collection ‘Lovers’ is the first visual i was inspired to create for the series. I wanted to capture this pure brief moment between two love ambassadors for the land of Milk and Honey. The figures symbolize the powerful discourse of love and liberation. That one cannot exist without the other. When you choose to love, the basis of all your actions must be in the name of liberation. You’re only capable of love if you condemn ethnic cleansing. You’re only capable of love if you believe all people deserve freedom. You’re only capable of love if you refuse to stand still in the face of dehumanization. Love teaches us the importance of collectivism; the virtue in equity… As they share a kiss and a love for this holy land, their heartbeat synchronizes into one. Oil & gold leaf painting animated.
