Golden

Golden is the inaugural NFT in my Stitched Portrait series. Each artwork in this series features a portrait of a woman (mostly women of color) embellished with embroidery stitches created digitally. This series is a celebration of color, texture, and the beauty of women. I have loved embroidery since I was a child, and spent years creating contemporary embroidery art until a mosquito-borne virus I contracted in Mexico turned into a chronic joint issue. As it most seriously affected my thumbs, I had to give up the repetitive motion of embroidery. Happily, I have discovered a way to create embroidery art using digital tools! I hope you like this joyful gift.
